STAFFLINE GROUP PLC
("Staffline" or "the Group")
AGM TRADING STATEMENT
Staffline, the national outsourcing organisation providing people and operational expertise to industry, issues the following statement on trading which will be given at the Group's Annual General Meeting held at 10.00am this morning.
At the meeting Andy Hogarth, Chief Executive of the Group, will make the following statement on current trading:
"We are pleased to report that Staffline has started the current financial year well. Whilst it remains too early to draw firm conclusions about the financial year as a whole, the board remains confident that the Group will meet market expectations.
This performance, against a weakening UK economy, continues to be underpinned by consistent levels of new business queries from both new and existing customers. We continue to see good levels of demand for our OnSite offering driven by both regulatory change and a need for temporary workers across our client base. Our Eos business, which manages Works Programme contracts in Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country, is now well placed to maximise its strong regional presence and remains a key growth driver for the Group in the medium term.
We continue to evaluate selective bolt-on acquisitions, which could potentially broaden our client focus and further enhance shareholder value."
