Board Change - Appointment of New Finance Director

Staffline, a leading provider of recruitment and outsourced HR services to industry, today announces the appointment of Tim Jackson, 47, as Finance Director, following Carole Harvey's recent decision to leave the Group.

To ensure an orderly transition, Tim's appointment to the Board as Finance Director will be effective from today. Carole will remain as a Director of the company until 31 December 2008 and, thereafter, will continue to make herself available to the Group until 31 March 2009, allowing for a smooth transfer of knowledge and responsibilities.

Tim was previously Finance Director of Applied Language Solutions Limited, prior to which he held the role of Finance Director at SG Maintenance Services Limited, where he was instrumental in the operational and finance side of the business and its eventual disposal.. He was previously at Redbridge Holdings Limited for seven years culminating in the position of Finance Director of its food service division, Redbridge Fresh Services. His experience also includes nine years spent in financial and commercial roles at Salvesen Logistics Plc.

Carole, who joined Staffline in 2005 having previously held the position of Commercial Director of Boots Wellbeing Services, has decided to pursue an alternative role outside the company which would fully utilise her strong commercial and marketing experience. 

Andy Hogarth, Managing Director of Staffline, commenting on the appointment, said:

'We are all sad to see Carole leave the company but we are also delighted to welcome Tim to the Board as Finance Director. Tim brings with him extensive experience in the food production, distribution and logistics sectors coupled with strong financial acumen.'

• Spice Plc (previously an AIM quoted cash and carry business). Director from November 1989 to April 1990. This business entered into receivership on 20 June 1990 after the main operating units had been sold. The estimated amount owing to creditors was c. £2 million. 

• Spalding Distributions Services Limited. Non Executive Director from March 2001 to February 2002. Entered into receivership on 11 September 2002. The estimated amount owing to creditors was c. £0.5 million.
