BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Standard Chartered PLC announces that Mike DeNoma has been appointed to the
Board as a Group Executive Director with effect from 12th May 2000.
Mike DeNoma (44) is Group Head of Banking within the Consumer Bank. He will
assume responsibility for all of Consumer Banking from Group Executive
Director, Fred Enlow, who reaches retirement age in August 2000.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered Mike founded Asia Foods Limited, a group
of food technology companies, in the People's Republic of China. Before that
he worked in senior marketing and management roles for a number of
multinational organisations in Asia and Europe, including PepsiCo, Citibank
and Hutchinson Whampoa.
Mike DeNoma, an American, has a BA from Ohio University and an MBA from
Wharton Business School.
