Standard Chartered PLC will be hosting an investor trip to its banking
operations in Hong Kong and Korea from 31 October to 3 November 2006.
The trip will cover:
31 October Hong Kong
1 November Group Consumer Banking
2 November China, Taiwan and Korea
3 November Korea
Presentation slides will be made available on Standard Chartered's website
(http://investors.standardchartered.com) each day from 8am UK time.
As is its normal practice, Standard Chartered will issue a pre-close trading
update on 12 December 2006. No comments on the Group's current trading will be
made during the investor trip.
