                             Purchase of own shares

SThree plc announces that on 7 January 2008, it purchased for cancellation,
91,162 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 210.9531 pence per
share.

The highest price paid was 214.25 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
209 pence per share.


For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 136,353,689 ordinary shares
of 1p each.
