                             Purchase of own shares





SThree plc announces that on 14 January 2008, it purchased for cancellation,
100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 199.2991 pence per
share.



The highest price paid was 200.75 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
198 pence per share.



For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 135,803,168 ordinary shares
of 1p each.
