                             Purchase of own shares


SThree plc announces that on 15 January 2008, it purchased for cancellation,
149,046 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 196.3989 pence per
share.


The highest price paid was 200 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 191
pence per share.


For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 135,654,122 ordinary shares
of 1p each.
