CANCELLATION OF LISTING - 6.5% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock

SMG Plc ('the Company') announces that, following the application to the UK
Listing Authority for the de-listing of its 6.5% Convertible Unsecured Loan
Stock ('CULs') from the Official List and the application to the London Stock
Exchange for the cancellation of admission to trading of the CULs on the London
Stock Exchange's market for listed securities, the listing of the CULs on the UK
Listing Authority's Official List has been cancelled and the CULs ceased trading
on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities, in each case with
effect from 8 a.m. on 2 October 2007.

This follows a round of refinancing by the Company which has resulted in the
repayment to CULs holders of amounts outstanding in relation to 22,515,155 CULs
and the redemption and cancellation of the CULs in accordance with their terms.
