The Company has been advised today (23 April 2001) that on 20 April 2001, Mrs
Kathleen Shiach (wife of Allan Shiach, non-executive director of the Company)
purchased £17,500 SMG plc 6% Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2007 at £1.2195
per unit.
