Telewest Nominated Director Leaves SMG Board
Following the successful placing yesterday by Telewest Communications plc
('Telewest') of its 16.9% shareholding in SMG plc ('SMG'), Telewest's nominated
director Stephen Cook has today resigned from SMG's Board with immediate effect.
Commenting on the move, SMG Chairman Don Cruickshank, said:
'Yesterday's successful placing of Telewest's shares has served to broaden the
Group's shareholder base and increase the liquidity of the Group's shares.
Telewest have been a long term shareholder and we are grateful to them for the
support they have provided since investing in SMG. Stephen's contribution to the
work of the Board has been substantial and I wish to thank him for his
assistance and counsel during his time on the Board.'
