Confirmation of Board Resignation and Board Committee Appointments

As previously announced, Adam Singer has formally resigned from the Board of SMG
plc ('SMG') following his appointment to the Content Board of OFCOM.

Michael Grade, who was appointed to the Board of SMG with effect from 1
September, has been appointed chairman of SMG's Remuneration Committee and David
Dunn, also appointed to the Board of SMG with effect from 1 September, has been
appointed to both the Remuneration Committee and the Audit Committee.
