The Company has today (10 May 2000) been advised that the Scottish Media Group
Employee Trust which holds shares in order to satisfy awards made to directors
and staff under various Scottish Media Group share plans, today purchased
32,262 shares in Scottish Media Group plc ('the Company') at a price of 1102
pence per share.
The shares will be used to satisfy awards which have been made to the
directors of the Company under the Scottish Media Group Performance Share Plan
('the Plan') provided the Company attains the performance targets set under
the Rules of the Plan.
The executive directors, Andrew Flanagan, Gary Hughes, Donald Emslie and Des
Hudson have each declared their interest in these shares as potential
beneficiaries under the Plan.
