                         Directorate Changes

Gold Oil plc ("Gold Oil" or the "Company") announces that a  workover
hoist has arrived on location at the RosaBlanca site and is currently
rigging up.  Testing will recommence in the next 24 hours.


The  Company  is  also  pleased  to  announce  that  Mark  Pritchard,
currently a Non-executive Director, becomes Executive Chairman of the
Company with immediate effect.  Mike Burchell, the current  Chairman,
remains on the board as a Non-executive Director.
