Sunrise, the diversified mineral exploration and development specialist, wishes to advise that work has now commenced on the technical and economic scoping study ("Scoping Study") for its Derryginagh Barite Project in southwest Ireland.
The Scoping Study will be carried out by Mr. Nicholas Hardie, a consultant chartered Mining Engineer with a strong practical background as Chief Mining Engineer and General Manager at a number of mining operations in the United Kingdom. Mr. Hardie has also held the position Government Inspector of Mines and Quarries for the Health and Safety Authority of Ireland.
The Scoping Study is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year and will evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of establishing a new mining and mineral processing operation at Derryginagh for the production of inert white filler grade barite for use in paints and other industrial applications.
The Company's objective is to develop profitable mining operations to sustain the Company's wider exploration efforts and create value for shareholders through the discovery of world-class mineral deposits.
