The Board of Signature Restaurants announces that as a result of an allotment of
88,700 new ordinary shares of 20 pence ('the New Ordinary Shares') pursuant to
the exercise of an option, application has been made for admission of the New
Ordinary Shares to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that such
admission will become effective on 30th July 2002.
