                         Notice of Annual General Meeting


Surface Transforms plc ('the Company'), manufacturer of high-technology carbon
fibre reinforced ceramic (CFRC) materials for the aerospace and high-performance
automotive markets, announces that the Annual General Meeting of shareholders
will be held at the offices of KPMG, 8 Salisbury Square, London, EC4Y 8BB at 12
noon on Wednesday 20th October, 2004.

The Company's annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31st May
2004, including the notice of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, have been
posted to shareholders and are available from the Company's registered office,
April House, Tarvin Road, Frodsham, Cheshire WA6 6XN.
