Directorate Changes
Surface Transforms plc (AIM: SCE) is pleased to announce that all the resolutions set out in the Notice of the Annual General Meeting for the Annual General Meeting held on 14 October 2011 were duly passed by shareholders.
The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of David Bundred as non-executive chairman of the Company with immediate effect. Kevin D'Silva, the former Chairman, continues in the role of non executive director.
Mr. Bundred brings with him a wealth of industrial experience at senior management levels in the UK, Germany and the US. Until 1999 he was at the Lucas Group and this included positions as General Manager of the Lucas Brake Controls and Lucas Truck Brake Divisions and his last appointment was that of Chief Operating Officer of the worldwide business of Lucas Aerospace. Between 2003 and 2005 he was CEO of TMD Friction Group, a large private German industrial group which is one of the world's leading brake pad system suppliers for the automotive industry. Since 2005 he has invested in a portfolio of high technology, private companies, for several of which he has provided an active role in guiding the business and mentoring the management team.
The Company also announces that Dr. Geoff Gould and Professor David Clark, one of the founders of the Company, who after 9 and 18 years respectively, are both retiring as directors with immediate effect. The Board wishes to take this opportunity to thank both Geoff and David for their commitment and service to the Company over the years and wishes them all the best in their other business interests.
