Surgical Innovations Group plc (AIM: SUN), the designer and manufacturer of innovative medical devices, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 1.00 p.m. on 20 June 2011 at Clayton Wood House, 6 Clayton Wood Bank, Leeds LS16 6QZ. At the AGM the Chairman, Doug Liversidge CBE, will make the following statement:
"The Group has continued its progress with its own SI branded products and OEM customers in its core market of minimally invasive surgery. We have also continued our investment in manufacturing facilities and research and development capacity to keep up with the demand for our products, at the same time we are putting in place the platform for the Group's long term growth.
"Since the year end, we have successfully established new markets for the SI Brand in New Zealand and Saudi Arabia, as well as signing a new distributor in South Africa with one of the largest health insurers in the region. SI's flagship Resposable® product YelloPort+plus® continues to gain traction in the US and in Europe, while a number of new products are currently under development."
"The Group is currently trading in line with market expectations."

SI's patented segment technology has been applied to the industrial market enabling customers to undertake inspection and maintenance of large-scale equipment, such as turbines, in situ with minimum disassembly and downtime. |
