PLYMOUTH TO HOST START OF TOP INTERNATIONAL SAILING RACE IN 2016
Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, the AIM listed marine and waterfront regeneration specialist, is pleased to announce that Plymouth's Sutton Harbour will host some of the world's top sailors when the Transat, the first and oldest single-handed trans-ocean race, departs Plymouth on 2nd May 2016.
The Transat, from Plymouth to New York, tests the world's best single-handed sailors and is seen as one of the most prestigious events in international sailing. There are four classes of boats in the race, of which the fastest will be the multi-hulls - some of the most exciting boats in world sailing.
