Placing of Shares
Symphony Plastic Technologies, the degradable plastics company, today announces
that it has raised £500,000 through a placing by Durlacher Limited of 5,000,000
new ordinary shares at a placing price of 10 pence per share. The Company will
use the proceeds to augment its sales activities in the UK and overseas, invest
in product development and for working capital.
Commenting on the placing Michael Laurier, Chief Executive, who participated in
the placing by acquiring an additional 700,000 new ordinary shares, said:
'I strongly believe this fundraising will give Symphony the impetus it needs to
take advantage of the rapid changes in attitudes to environmental issues
worldwide and this is why I have increased my personal stake in the business. I
look forward to the future with confidence.'
Application has been made to admit the shares to trading on AIM and dealing is
expected to commence on 21st July 2004.
