Licensing agreement with mobile software vendor
Synchronica plc, the AIM listed mobile email and data synchronisation provider, announces that it has signed a licensing agreement with a mobile software vendor ("the Software Vendor") worth an initial €175,000, for the use of non-core legacy software ("the Legacy Software") owned by Synchronica.
Under the terms of the agreement the Software Vendor will make a one-off payment of €150,000 to Synchronica for a perpetual licence limited to in-house usage of the Legacy Software. The remaining €25,000 is for the support and training provided by Synchronica over the first 12 weeks of the installation. If the Software Vendor sub-licenses the Legacy Software to a third party, then an additional one-off payment of €150,000 will be due to Synchronica.
Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, said, "Whilst this deal is to license non-core legacy software, we are nevertheless pleased to generate revenues from this product which makes another contribution to our revenues in the second half of the financial year."
