DAT GROUP PLC
UPDATE ON CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
The Board of DAT Group plc ('DAT' or 'the Company'), a developer and licenser of
mobile device management software, has noted recent press speculation concerning
potential contracts with customers and wishes to update shareholders on
progress. The Company confirms that it is involved in contract negotiations with
a number of existing and potential customers for contracts that would be
material for DAT at this stage of its development. The majority of these
negotiations are with very large international companies for the provision of
important products and services and are key building blocks for DAT in the
execution of its business plans. As a result the negotiations are involved,
lengthy and commercially sensitive for the customers as well as influencing DAT
revenue recognition.
DAT will announce material contract wins as and when they are signed. Stock
market expectations of revenue and profitability for the current year are based
on the successful conclusion of a number of the present negotiations. The
Company cannot predict with certainty the time frame within which new contracts
will be signed and therefore the time frame for revenue recognition. Based on
current contract activity the Board is confident that progress is being made in
securing the long term key building blocks to execute DAT's business plans.
The Board looks forward to updating shareholders further as contracts are signed
and at the time of the Interim Results for the six months to 30 June 2005.
