Contract Wins
Synectics plc (AIM: SNX), a leader in the design, integration, control and management of advanced surveillance technology and networked security systems, today announces that it has secured three new contract wins with an estimated combined value of around £8 million to be implemented between now and September 2018.
Las Vegas Gaming Resort
Synectics' first 5,000+ channel property in North America builds on Synectics' successes in the Asia-Pacific region and demonstrates the strength of the Company's 'mega-resort' credentials. The solution for this premier Las Vegas gaming resort - encompassing multi-site monitoring over 215 acres - showcases the highly scalable and customisable architecture of Synectics' Synergy 3 command & control platform. It will also include newly developed third party integrations, enhanced mapping for precise gaming floor layout, and data-driven security process automation - all reflecting Synectics' continued commitment to innovation in this sector.
Go-Ahead
Synectics has also been awarded an extension to September 2018 of its contract to provide surveillance systems and support for Go-Ahead, a major national and London bus operator, taking the relationship between the two companies to over five years. Having brought the existing fleet's CCTV systems up to standard through ongoing maintenance and upgrades, Synectics has more recently moved to overseeing and implementing major technology upgrade programmes for Go-Ahead.
Go-Ahead's Group Procurement Director, Jeremy Marshall, said: "Synectics has been a hugely valuable partner as we have undertaken significant upgrades to our fleet, both in London and nationally, over the last year. We are very pleased to have the Company's support as we push towards technology integration and increased use of technology to drive value for Go-Ahead. Synectics' understanding of our operational requirements goes above and beyond what we would expect from a surveillance company and we look forward to making this partnership a long-standing relationship in the future."
Mainline Train Operator
The third contract secured also reflects Synectics' transport and infrastructure expertise. Synectics' integration business, Quadrant Security Group ("QSG"), has secured a contract to replace and maintain the CCTV infrastructure at nine mainline stations for a mainline train operator. The new fully-IP solution, scheduled to be completed by May 2017, includes replacing all existing cameras, supplying a large number of additional cameras, as well as replacing the communications infrastructure.
Commenting on the contract wins, Paul Webb, Chief Executive of Synectics, said:
"We are delighted to announce these contract wins that highlight the continuing success of our strategy to create sophisticated surveillance systems that serve the increasingly differentiated needs of our clients. Securing our first 5000+ channel mega-resort in the US is a significant milestone for the business, while the bus and the mainline train operator contracts demonstrate the scope and scale of our unique transport proposition which encompasses both on-vehicle and infrastructure solutions. The renewed contract with Go-Ahead also reflects our commitment to developing strong, long-term relationships with our customers and we are thrilled to see this particular relationship develop further."
