APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR DESIGNATE
Allister McLeish, the current Group Finance Director, has informed the Company
of his intention to retire on 17 March 2000 on reaching normal retirement age.
To facilitate a smooth transition, the Company is pleased to announce that Sean
Cummins has been appointed to the position of Group Finance Director Designate
effective 31 August 1999.
Mr Cummins, aged 36, is a Chartered Accountant and joins the company from BTR
Power Systems, a major division of Invensys, where he was Group Controller and
has a wealth of operational, financial and commercial experience.
After graduating from Warwick University Mr Cummins began his career at Price
Waterhouse and joined Hawker Siddeley Plc in 1987 as Financial Accountant at
Tungstone Batteries Limited. He subsequently became UK Finance Director for
Hawker Batteries Group, then part of BTR Plc, and was promoted to the position
of Group Controller of BTR Power Systems in 1995.
