Appointment of Group Finance Director


Yule Catto is an international producer of speciality chemicals, supplied to
global customers for use in a wide range of industries including
pharmaceuticals, FMCG, paints and adhesives


Yule Catto & Co plc ('Yule Catto' or 'the Group') is pleased to announce that
David Blackwood will join Yule Catto as Group Finance Director on 1 October
2007.


Mr Blackwood, 48, was until recently Group Treasurer of Imperial Chemical
Industries PLC (ICI) having previously held a number of senior finance roles
during a long career at ICI.  He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of England & Wales and a Fellow of the Association of Corporate
Treasurers.


Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Richmond-Watson, Chairman, said:


'We are delighted that David will be joining Yule Catto. His strong financial
and corporate finance track record, together with his chemical industry
background, makes him ideally suited to the role of Group Finance Director.'


In relation to this appointment Yule Catto confirms that there are no further
details to be notified under Listing Rule 9.6.13
