Sale of Brencliffe Limited


Yule Catto & Co plc is pleased to announce the sale today to Robert Scott & Sons
Limited of Brencliffe Limited, based in Burnley, Lancashire, England, which was
part of the Performance Chemicals Division.  Turnover and net assets of the
business for the year ended 31 December 2004 were £7.0 million and £1.1 million
respectively, with the net proceeds to the Group being £2.6 million.
