System C is pleased to announce that Mr. Hedley Mayor, aged 45, has been appointed Finance Director of the Company with effect from 12 July 2010.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Hedley is currently Finance Director of investment firm Octopus Investments, a position he has held since 2007.  Prior to that, he was a finance director with Baring Private Equity Partners.

Hedley has held numerous directorships, and has considerable experience of small and medium-sized companies. 

Commenting on the appointment Dr Ian Denley, Chief Executive, said: "I am delighted that Hedley is joining us at such an exciting time for System C.  His extensive operational experience will make him a hugely valuable member of our team as we drive the company forward in this next phase of its growth." 

Thomas Chambers, non executive director at System C and formerly Chief Financial Officer for mobile phone software company Symbian, has been Acting Group Finance Director.  From 12 July, he will return to his non-executive role as a System C board member.
