New Contract Win
System C Healthcare plc
07 May 2008
System C is appointed to new Framework Contract from NHS Connecting for Health
System C Healthcare PLC ("System C") (AIM:SYS), the provider of specialist IT
products and services to the healthcare sector, today announced that it has
secured its appointment to a framework agreement to provide a range of IT
products and services to the NHS.
The company was successful in all of the sixteen categories that it bid for, and
now holds framework contracts for its Patient Administration (PAS), maternity
and A&E systems, as well as a wide range of clinical software. System C was also
successful in its bid to provide associated consultancy services such as
deployment, data migration, training and interfacing for all of the above.
The new Additional Supply Capability and Capacity (ASCC) framework contracts are
for a four year duration. They will allow NHS organisations and other NHS-funded
establishments such as Independent Treatment Centres a faster and easier route
to procure IT systems and services from suppliers who have demonstrated
experience in the health sector. ASCC can be used to support both National
Programme for IT (NPfIT) related work and wider IT related projects.
System C's CEO, Dr Ian Denley, said "The NHS has been in need of a dedicated
healthcare framework catalogue for many years, so this is a very exciting
initiative from NHS Connecting for Health. Healthcare is an extremely complex
area, which demands dedicated products and specialist skills and knowledge."
He added: "System C Healthcare is totally committed to fulfilling the needs of
patients and healthcare workers in the NHS and other UK healthcare providers,
and success in being appointed to the ASCC framework contracts is an important
step in our plans for growth over the coming years.
"I am delighted with the performance of our company in this bid process, and
that NHS CFH has, after its thorough procurement exercise, seen fit to include
our full range of products and services to the frameworks."
