FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 14 FEBRUARY 2002
COMELEON PLC
MAJOR ORDER FROM GLOBAL ELECTRONIC GOODS MANUFACTURER
Comeleon plc, the imaging technology company, announces its first substantial
order as a component supplier to a global consumer goods company. The £125,000
first phase, will be shipped over the next eight weeks. Subsequent batches are
expected to follow throughout the year. The contract has been won because of
Comeleon's unique process for imaging plastic components.
Comeleon was selected because of its superior ability to place a durable,
high-resolution image on a frequently used household product. The electronic
goods manufacturer believes that imaging by Comeleon will give it a substantial
competitive advantage and so has requested anonymity until the product's launch
at the end of March, to protect its commercial position.
The Annual General Meeting of Comeleon, its first since it joined the
Alternative Investment Market will be held on 20th February when a more detailed
update on current trading will be provided by its Chairman, John Pither.
Roy Stanley, Chief Executive, Comeleon, said:
'This is a major step forward for Comeleon. Mobile phone covers and computer
peripherals have built a sound foundation of sales for Comeleon. The next stage
is to move into other markets. This order, from such a prestigious marketing-led
company is the best possible start.'
