Notification of transaction by Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

Tate & Lyle PLC (the 'Company') was informed that 63,052 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in the capital of the Company ('Shares') were exercised on 19 August 2019 by Imran Nawaz, a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities, in accordance with the Restricted Share Award that was granted to him on 9 August 2018. 29,635 shares were withheld to satisfy certain tax obligations arising on the release of the Shares. As a result, Mr Nawaz acquired and retained a total of 33,417 Shares. For tax purposes, the market value of the Shares, being the average of the two closing prices on the date of the transaction, was 705.00 pence per share. No consideration was paid for the acquisition of these Shares. Details of the Restricted Share Award are contained within the Annual Report 2019.
