                    Appointment of North American President

Taylor Woodrow announces the appointment of John Landrum as President of its
operations in North America. Based in Florida, he will report into the company's
group Chief Executive, Ian Smith.

A widely experienced American home building and community developer from Texas,
Mr Landrum will join the company on 5th February from the Related Group where he
was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for more
than 12,000 units currently in development in Florida, Texas, Georgia and Las
Vegas, Nevada.

Previously, he has held similar operational and financial positions for almost
30 years with housing and commercial mixed-use development companies in a number
of American States.

In North America, Taylor Woodrow operates in Florida, California, Arizona, Texas
and Ontario, Canada.

Taylor Woodrow is a housing development group. Its primary business is the
development of sustainable communities of high quality homes across the UK and
in selected markets in North America and Spain.
