Board Changes

Following the completion of the sale of the North American business on 13 July 2011, and further to our previous announcement, the Board announces that Sheryl Palmer (President and CEO of the North American business) stood down yesterday as an Executive Director of the Board of Taylor Wimpey plc with immediate effect.

The Board also announces the appointment of James Jordan, Group Legal Director and Company Secretary, as an Executive Director with immediate effect.

James was appointed as Group Company Secretary and General Counsel of Taylor Wimpey plc in July 2007, having previously held the same position with George Wimpey Plc since February 2002.

Kevin Beeston, Chairman, commented:

"On behalf of the Board, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sheryl again for her service to the Group and to wish her well for the future with the new owners of the North American business."

"James has been a key member of the senior management team for nearly ten years and has made a significant contribution to the Group in many ways, including the recent refinancing and the sale of our North American business. Going forward, James will have a key role in the commercial and legal aspects of the business, with a particular focus on land acquisition. I am delighted to welcome James as an Executive Director of the Board."

*There are no other details that require to be disclosed in respect of the appointment of James Jordan pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Rules.
