TAYLOR WOODROW plc - BOARD CHANGE
Taylor Woodrow plc the international housing, property and construction group
announces the retirement of Bruce Russell, chairman and managing director of
Taylor Woodrow Construction Limited ('TWC') and Main Board director of Taylor
Woodrow plc, with effect from 1 Dec 1999. Mr Russell, who joined the Main
Board in 1996, has decided to retire in order to follow his many interests and
activities outside the Group.
Mr. Russell will be replaced on an interim basis by Denis Mac Daid as acting
managing director of TWC. Mr. Mac Daid, is currently TWC's deputy managing
director. Board responsibility for TWC will be assumed by Group chief
executive, Keith Egerton pending an announcement to be made in due course.
Keith Egerton said: 'We are grateful to Bruce for the dedicated service he has
given the Group over the past 30 years and his significant contribution to the
process of integration of the overseas and domestic construction operations.'

1. Taylor Woodrow's construction operation employs approximately 6,500
people and operates in the international arena. In the year to 31 December
1998 it reported pre-tax profits of £6.1 m on turnover of £613.5m. In the
half year to 30 June 1999 TWC reported pretax profits of £3.1m on turnover of
£284.6m
2. Denis MacDaid, Acting Managing Director TWC, Director - UK &
Western Europe, joined Taylor Woodrow in 1965.
He has been project manager on a large range of projects, including many in
Saudi Arabia and Oman and had the task of completing and closing out Taylor
Woodrow's various construction operations in the USA.
In 1993, he was put in charge of Middle East and European operations. In
December 1997, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director of TWC. And became
director responsible for building & civil engineering operations in the UK &
Western Europe in May 1999.
