THAMES WATER ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF
NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR
Thames Water Plc is delighted to announce the appointment
of Chris Bunker as Group Finance Director. Chris joins
Thames Water on 1 April from Tarmac plc where he has been
Group Finance Director since 1996. Thames Water
announced in October 1999 that David Luffrum would retire
as Finance Director in 2000 once his successor had been
identified.
Bill Alexander, Chief Executive said:

will make an excellent contribution to the next phase of
the Group's development as we build our presence in the
international market. His knowledge and experience,
particularly as Finance Director at Tarmac plc and
previously at Westland Group plc, provide an excellent

top finance role.'

PROFILE
Christopher Bunker
After graduating in Geography from Kings College, London,
Chris began his career with GEC Marconi in the Finance
function. He moved to Westland Group plc where he held a
number of progressively senior positions, becoming
Finance Director of Westland Helicopters in 1984. He was
appointed Group Finance Director in 1987 and remained in
the role when GKN acquired Westland in 1994, leaving in
1996 to join Tarmac plc.
At Tarmac, Chris is Group Finance Director responsible
for the full range of finance activities including
investor relations, tax, treasury, audit and planning.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants and of the Association of Certified and
Corporate Accountants. He is also a Companion of the
Institute of Management.
He is a Non-Executive Director of Baltimore Technologies
Plc.
Chris, 53, is married with two daughters.
