Fire Safety Self Remediation Contract
Taylor Wimpey plc ("the company") confirms that it has signed the Government's Self Remediation Contract, which makes legally binding the principles of the fire safety Pledge which the company voluntarily signed in April 2022.
It is our long held view that leaseholders should not have to pay for the cost of remediation and our priority has always been to ensure that customers in Taylor Wimpey buildings have a solution to cladding remediation. We took early and proactive action, committing significant funding and resources to address fire safety and cladding issues on all Taylor Wimpey affected apartment buildings.
The £245 million total provision that we set aside remains our best estimate of the cost of our commitments to remediate Taylor Wimpey buildings in compliance with current fire safety standards.
