WATER PRICE REVIEW - THAMES WATER UTILITIES
At their meeting earlier today the Board of Thames Water
Plc decided not to refer Ofwat's price determination to
the Competition Commission.
The Board consider the group to be financially sound with
positive prospects, and believe an appeal would divert
management's attention and create uncertainty. Evidence
of our progress to date, at home and abroad, can be seen
in the interim results for the half year to September
1999, published on 2 November.
A meeting for investors and analysts to present future
plans for the group businesses will be held on 18
January 2000.
