                        T. Clarke Directorate Appointment


The Board of T. Clarke plc ('T. Clarke'), the electrical engineering and
contracting company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Crowder as
Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2007. Mike (Age 42) has been at
T.Clarke for 21 years and will be an invaluable addition to the Board. T.Clarke
will go into 2007 with renewed enthusiasm and confidence.

In line with its recent statement to strengthen the role of the Regional Board
and to increase management's involvement in the development and growth of
regional businesses, the Board are also pleased to announce Barry DeFalco as
Managing Director for the UK regions, Mark Lawrence as Managing Director for
London operations and Paul Brown and Jim Bryan have been appointed as Divisional
Directors.

Pat Stanborough, Chief Executive commented, 'These changes will enable us to
achieve growth in our core operations and it is expected that further promotions
will be made in 2007.'

There is no further information which would require disclosure under 9.6.13R of
the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
