TG21 Plc 23 May 2006 TG21 plc ('the Company') announces agreement with Biodata Limited For release: 23 May 2006 TG21 plc today announces that its subsidiary 21st Century Crime Prevention Services Limited ('21st Century') has today signed an agreement with Biodata Limited ('Biodata') for the exclusive rights to Biodata's people counting system when interfaced with public transport vehicle systems. 21st Century is a leading provider of on-board CCTV to the UK bus market and is also developing several new products for the public transport market. The first two of these, Revenue-Manager(TM) and Eco-Manager(TM), are aimed at enhancing revenue and reducing running costs for bus operators. The Biodata system known as 'Video Turnstile' uses their technology in conjunction with overhead CCTV to count passengers entering and leaving a vehicle. The Video Turnstile will be interfaced with fare revenue data from the ticketing machines and automatically transmit an audit report back to the control centre as each bus returns to its depot. Biodata are also developing an interface to the Eco-Manager product which is aimed at reducing fuel and maintenance costs for bus operators by monitoring and reporting on driver behaviour. A major public transport company has already agreed to run trials with 21st Century for both Revenue-Manager and Eco-Manager on 54 of its buses. Peter Ward, Chairman of TG21 plc, commented: 'We are delighted to announce the deal with Biodata for the exclusive rights to its people counting system when interfaced with public transport vehicle systems. This technology, when coupled with 21st Century's two new products will give greater control on revenue and reduced running costs for bus operators up and down the country. We are working with a major public transport company to trial these new products and look forward to updating the market further, in due course.' Founded in Manchester over 30 years ago, Biodata originally developed technology to link laboratory instruments with microcomputers. The product range soon developed to provide solutions for data acquisition and control problems and they were one of the first measurement companies to achieve ISO 9001 (EN29001) certification. Biodata's people counting system is currently in use in over 20 countries around the world.
