                               Issue of shares



Telecom plus has made a block listing application for 4,500,000 ordinary
shares of 5p each to be issued under The Telecom plus plc Non-Approved Share
Option Scheme and The Telecom plus plc Networkers and Consultants Share Option
Scheme.  Admission of the new ordinary shares to the Official List of the UK
Listing Authority is expected to be effective on 14 September 2001.
