The Board of Directors of Telefonica, S.A., at its meeting held yesterday in Sao
Paulo, Brazil agreed to appoint by cooption Mr Gregorio Villalabeitia Galarraga
as member of the Board of Directors of the Company and of its Standing
Committee, in order to replace the vacant position left by the resignation of Mr
Jose Javier Echenique Landiribar.
