Chairman's Annual General Meeting statement

Speaking at today's Annual General Meeting, Jeremy Delmar-Morgan, Chairman,
made the following comments on current trading:


'At the time of our preliminary results announcement in June, I said that the
stockmarket was quieter than this time last year, which inevitably influences
the performances of some areas of our business; and that other areas had made
more promising starts to the new financial year.  These comments hold good and
it is pleasing to note that some of the business areas that have been added
more recently are contributing to profitability and that the group as a whole
remains profitable. I look forward to reporting on progress in due course.'
