Teather & Greenwood Holdings Plc ('the Company')

The  Company  has  today been informed that  Aberdeen  Asset
Managers Limited, have purchased 250,000 ordinary shares  on
behalf of the Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc  on  14
February 2001.  The Smaller Company Investment Trust Plc now
holds  1,750,000 ordinary shares which represents  6.31%  of
the issued ordinary share capital.

Aberdeen  Asset  Managers Limited have a  total  holding  of
3,091,500 ordinary shares representing 11.14% of the  issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.
