(AIM: TERN)
Cryptosoft Associate of ITU
Tern Plc ("Tern" or "the Company"), the AIM quoted investment company specialising in the cloud and mobile sector of the IT market, is pleased to announce that its data security company Cryptosoft Ltd ("Cryptosoft"), a leader in policy driven data authentication and encryption services for connected Internet of Things ("IoT") and Machine-to-Machine ("M2M") devices, has announced it has become an Associate of the International Telecommunications Union ("ITU"), a United Nations agency to establish increased global Internet security standards focused on the Internet of Things (IoT).
"With the influx of Internet-connected devices impacting our daily lives, it is crucial that security standards are put into practice. Users should feel at ease that their personal data is safe, no matter where in the world they live," says Al Sisto, Chairman of Cryptosoft.
Cryptosoft has joined the ITU, particularly to work with ITU-S, the organisation that sets telecom standards, and ITU-D, to help find ways to use information and communications technologies (ICT) for social, economic, and human development. Cryptosoft CTO, Jon Penney, will be representing Cryptosoft at the ITU Internet of Things Forum in Geneva on 19th October.
