Tesco PLC - Repurchase programme

Tesco PLC announces that on 22 November 2007 the Company entered into an
irrevocable and non-discretionary arrangement with its brokers, Lehman Brothers,
to repurchase on its behalf and within certain pre-set parameters, ordinary
shares in the Company for cancellation during the period commencing 26 November
2007 and ending on 3 December 2007. 

This arrangement is in accordance with Chapter 12 of the Listing Rules and the 
Company's general authority to repurchase shares.
