             Acquisition of Regional Contractor

The Board of Artisan (UK) plc is pleased to announce that it
has today signed conditional Heads of Terms to acquire a
refurbishment contractor on North Essex.  The company to be
acquired has been established some 25 years and had a
turnover last year of £7.5 million and  profit before tax of
£150,000.  The acquisition is to be by Artisan Contracting,
and with its other operating companies, will further
strengthen its strategy of developing Regional Contracting
Operations throughout the UK.
