                            Appointment of Auditors




The board announce that Spokes & Co have resigned as Auditors to Artisan (UK)
plc ('the Company'). The Board have appointed BDO Stoy Hayward as Auditors to
the Company with effect from 3 December 2002.


BDO Stoy Hayward were chosen because the Board felt they demonstrated an
understanding of the current and future requirements of the Company, and would
contribute their recognised expertise, particularly in the property market, to
assist in the future development of Artisan.


The change in auditors follows from the review of professional advisers to
establish a team of advisers to support the Company in its next phase of growth,
as referred to in the Chairman's statement at the Annual General Meeting of the
Company held on 17 September 2002.


Spokes & Co have stated that there are no circumstances connected with their
resignation required to be brought to the members' or creditors' attention.


The Board wishes to express it thanks to Spokes & Co for the assistance and
support provided to the Company since incorporation.
