The issuer has advised that the following amendment should be made to the
'Artisan Placing' announcement released on 10 May 2000 at 17:52 under RNS No
3861K.

In the first paragraph price per share should read '16.5p', and not '162p' as
previously stated. 

All other details remain unchanged.

ARTISAN (UK) plc RAISES £150,000 WITH PRIVATE PLACING

Artisan (UK) plc, the AIM listed housebuilding, property development,
contracting and property refurbishment group, announces that conditional on
their admission to AIM, the company has today completed the private placing of
909,091 ordinary shares in the company at 16.5p per share, raising £150,000
which will be used as additional working capital.
