                 Director's Shareholding



Stephen  Dean,  Chairman of Artisan (UK) plc  ('Artisan')
has  today  purchased 1,000,000 ordinary  shares  in  the
Company   at  13p  per  share.   These  shares  will   be
registered  under the name of Hemery Nominees.   Stephen
Dean  is now the beneficial holder of 36,830,468 ordinary
shares representing 26.34% of the issued share capital.
