Disposal of Subsidiaries
The Directors of Artisan are pleased to announce that the Company has today
completed the disposal of three of its trading subsidiaries, Bickerton
Construction Ltd, Drivers Construction Limited and Gryphon Estates. The
aggregate consideration for the disposals is £2,820,000 of which £2,317,000
was satisfied in cash and £503,000 was in the form of a deferred secured loan
note.
The three regional contractors no longer form part of the core activities of
Artisan, being residential and commercial property developments.
The aggregate asset value of the three divisions as at 31 March 2001 was
£390,000 and in the year to 31 March 2001 the three in aggregate contributed
£862,000 of profit, including £1.34 million of non recurring income, to the
Artisan Group.
