                                New Site Purchases

Artisan (UK) plc ('Artisan' or 'the Company'), the housebuilder and commercial 
business park developer, is pleased to announce three recent land purchases at a 
cost of £3.6m.

Rippon Homes has recently completed the purchase of the new sites in and around 
Mansfield, its core area of activity. These include a Mansfield Woodhouse site
that will consist of 22 homes, incorporating a mix of 4 bedroom detached homes 
and 3 bedroom starter family units, and a Mansfield site that will comprise of 
32 homes, with a similar mix to the Mansfield Woodhouse site.

Rippon Homes has also completed the purchase of a site for their premium brand, 
Living Heritage, in the centre of Farnsfield, a village situated between Mansfield
and Nottingham.  This site is more select and will provide for 10 larger detached 
and semi-detached homes on a rare site in this historic village.

sites to provide for future growth in the business.  These sites are carefully 
chosen to provide the type of accommodation sought by families without 
resorting to excessive concentrations of three storey units. With further sites
